I'm taking up a new hobby that sparks a lot of passion.
It revolves around modular synthesis and other ways of signal-to-sound processing.
§ Instruments and Platforms
§ VCVRack
Virtual Eurorack simulation platform that I'm extensively using for learning modular.
§ SuperCollider
A very interesting approach of programming sound design. I learned about its existence by stumbling upon the following vid, and it made me super curious. Planning to lay my hands over it soon.
UPD: that guy Sungmin Park has more of tasty videos about live-coding music in Linux environment on his channel. The look and sound of it makes me wanna follow in his steps.
§ Courses and Learning materials
§ Learning Modular
"The Basic Concepts of Synthesis" is short and very basic (and free). It was the first in my watch list.
§ Your 1st Modular Synth Patch
Another free introductory course by Sarah Belle Reid (registration required). This one is more thorough, stressing the use of the VCVRack for learning.
