Such epic finale of the Traveller-esque Space Opera by A. Tchaikovsky left me with somewhat mixed feelings.
It definitely has some interesting moves, worthy to get stolen and re-introduce in one's own stories. The instrumental value, so to say. And wrapping up a story of such epic scale is indeed very hard if the author wants a consistent and rewarding end.
And Adrian almost succeeded... At a cost of making half of a final book a description of mental duels! Unfortunately but the momentum of the first book keeps declining here. Not dramatically, Lords of Uncreation are still very enjoy-able.
But heart aches for more space action!
